Big 3 Parts Exchange



The 46th annual antique and collector car parts exchange and swap meet will be held at Qualcomm (old Jack Murphy) Stadium on the weekend of February 25th, 26th & 27th, 2010. The BIG 3 Auto Swap is held annually and has grown to be the largest old car event held in the San Diego area. This auto swap attracts participants from all over the country. This entire event is totally operated by volunteers.

There is no charge to the general public to attend this event, however, there is a stadium parking fee.

The shoppers hours are 12 noon to 5PM Friday, 8AM to 5PM Saturday and 8AM to 2PM Sunday.

Culture Clash's American Night! The Ballad of Juan Jose

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its production of American Night: The Ballad of Juan José, written by Richard Montoya (Zorro in Hell) for Culture Clash, developed by Culture Clash and Jo Bonney (The Seven, Adoration of the Old Woman), directed by Jo Bonney. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and originally commissioned and produced by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Night: The Ballad of Juan José will run January 27 – February 26, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.

42nd Annual Chicano Park Day


Chicano Park Day Celebration


The 42nd annual Chicano Park Day celebration will take place on Saturday,
April 21, 2012, in historic Chicano Park, located
in the Barrio Logan community, south of downtown San Diego, under the San Diego-Coronado bridge. This family
event is always free and open to the public.
The theme for the 42nd Chicano Park Day is "Lowriders: Part of Chicano Park's History, Culture, Pride & Future!' Established by Chicano activists on April
22, 1970,
Chicano Park has received international recognition as a major public
art site for its commanding mural paintings of the past and present
struggle of Mexican and Chicano history. V

including one of the most beautiful performances of Aztec Indigenous
